Bodies of 7 labourers killed in Uttarakhand flown to Uri

Srinagar: The bodies of the 7 kashmiri labourers killed in a landslide in uttrakhand were, on the instructions of governor satya pal malik, this morning flown by a special chopper to their native place Uri in district Baramulla.

The government has also released ex-gratia relief of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.

The 7 labourers were killed and 3 others injured when they came under a landslide while working on a road project in Rudraprayag district of Uttrakhand on Friday.

The deceased include Bilal Ahmad(20), Sibbi(30), Abdul Rasshid(60), Imtiyaz Ahmad(26), Mushtaq Ahmad(30), Zahoor Hamid(30) and Gulzar Ahmad(20) while the injured have been identified as Altaf Azam(55), Mohammad Abbas(20) and Altaf Hussain(45)
